Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback performer and a performer who appears most often in Tamil as well as Malayalam film productions in the language. Her acting debut was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam debut with Annayum is in the film. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in an Anglo-Indian home at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea's father was an attorney at the Madras High Court lawyer. She has one younger sister who is a resident of Leuven Belgium as researcher assistant. Jeremiah has a family in the vicinity of Chennai, went to National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea started studying classical piano around the age of eight. She was a big fan of geeks and wanted to be psychiatrist. By the age of 10, she was a part of a Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the base of her early recording and composing music career. Andrea's career in theatre began with the Girishkarnad Nagamandala. In 2006, she starred in a leo commercial along with actor Shiva. The actress was also part of an episode that was telecast on Podhigai. Her performances have been all over India. She was briefly featured in Kanda Mudhal's final scene (2005). The song she sang was for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. She was asked to join the female lead characters for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea played Kalyani an housewife, with a husband who has an affair. The character was threatened with a blackmail. Andrea was cast in the part after Simran and Tabu, two actresses who were approached by producers. The film premiered during the first half of 2010. In the beginning of 2010, she was cast in a minor role as part of Venkat's Mankatha in the year 2011, which featured a variety of actors. In 2013 she was the first to debut in Malayalam film by appearing in Rajeeev's romance film Annayum Rasoolum.
